Requirements
To earn the certificate, business students must first complete several
German courses at the University of Georgia, including courses focusing
on German business and politics. In March, they attend a four-week long orientation course in Erlangen which will help students to adjust to living and studying in Germany. The course includes an intensive language course. In April, students are enrolled at WiSo where they take Business courses in English and German, an additional German language courses. During the semester, they also attend a competitive Planspiel (business simulation) with other German students.
Although not a requirement
of the program, it is recommended that students have been to a German-speaking country for some time prior to participating in this program. We recommend a study abroad program.
Students will be able to transfer credit earned throughout their studies
in Germany both toward their business and German degrees. The number and
kind of credits will be determined on an individual basis.
