Courses

All students take two three-credit courses in German language and culture. One course, GRMN 3550 Contemporary Issues in German Culture, Society and Literature is taught in English and is mandatory for all students. In addition, students choose one more course (according to language ability) from the following list:

GRMN 2110: Accelerated Intermediate German
GRMN 3010: Language: Culture and Society I
GRMN 3020: Language: Culture and Society II
GRMN 4001: Advanced German Conversation and Composition

The intermediate language course is taught by an experienced TA. Both third-year courses are taught by Dieter Berthold-Kuhles, a very experienced German instructor, and a native of Erlangen.
The program director is teaching GRMN 3550, and GRMN 4001.
